Buckeye
I had a friend who worked in a meat-packing plant. He was a great actor who was obsessed with the Texas Chainsaw massacre and went as Leatherhead to our annual Halloween: Hottenanny. So he worked at a meat-packing plant. One of the things he told me was, that to help keep the beef fresh, they cut off the outside of the cows eyeballs (thevery tip of the eye) and put it on the meat to help keep it fresh longer. rferry
No, you really don't want to know what parts of the pig or cow they make hot dogs out of. It's almost as bad as the stuff they make scrapple out of. Kosher hot dogs though are fine. No lips or asses in those. Also, most fast food 'ground beef' isn't 100% beef. Fillers like worms are added.

Hebrew National are some of the best hot dogs out there along with beefmaster franks.
