Albuquerque

Anyone listen to the game yesterday? Albuquerque completed a 3-game sweep of the Royals yesterday afternoon.

*SP Mike Tejera looked good in 5.2 innings of work surrendering 5H and 2ER. Suffered through some control problems by walking 3, but also struck out 4 batters and allowed no HR.

*OF Chris Aguila contributed 3 hits including a double bringing his BA to .282 on the season.

*3B Derek Wathan continued a 9(?) game hitting streak with 2 hits in 5AB including a two bagger.

Carolina

Kevin Cave blew the save in the 9th costing the Cats a victory.

*CF Eric Reed added a triple and a single to his already impressive (.341) hit total while also managing to walk once. Reed also stole his 10th base and was caught stealing for the 3rd time.

*SP Ron Belizario got stomped in 4IP (6H, 4ER, 4BB, 3K, HR)

*1B Jason Stokes singled and walked

*RF Chip Ambres has completely emerged from his wicked slow start with 2 more hits to raise his BA to .292

*Willingham had the night off

*SS Josh Wilson knocked 3 doubles in 5AB to give him 5 on the year.

Jupiter

Another one run loss...3-2

*SP Logan Kensing, who is off to a great start, continued his success with 5 innings of one-run baseball. (5IP, 4H, ER, BB, 2K, 0HR)

*RF Jeremy Hermida continued his hot start with 2 singles, rocketing his average to .397

Greensboro

*Recently acquired RF Adam Bonner is playing extemely well. After smacking 2 homers the day before he added 4-4 night with a walk to his streak.

Nice to see the lower minor leaguers progressing...we seem to be building up a nice nucleus of very solid prospects - Olson, S., Murphy, Stokes, Reed, Hermida, Willingham, Wilson and hopefully Allison all look to have legitimate ML potential.

Great job by Jennings and Ferrera in developing the the farm.

I agree. The Marlins minor leagues looks like its developing some good talent even though these players. Bill Murphy has looked great. We have a ton of good young arms: Scott Olsen, Jeff Allison, Josh Johnson, Yorman Bazardo, Pete Bauer, Trevor Hutchinson, Ben Howard, Jeff Fulchino, Logan Kensing.
