BTW they didn't show any sketches and didn't say if construction would start even if they didn't get the 30 mil this year. you would think that if they want to open in 2007 they will need to start this year.

The interesting thing about those numbers is that the FO is set to chip in more than the city and county combined. It continues the general trend away from public financing back toward more private financing.

The cost estimate was raised $42M....could this be land acquisition costs????...and part of the City's contribution??

I've heard talk of a ticket surcharge of around $1 each that goes toward the stadium.

 

I've always been for that idea. Tax the people who want to enjoy the stadium before you hit the general public...
