just one game please dont start saying things like a-gon at 2nd thats stupid. remeber just try it for 1 game :thumbup

Alex has hit second before. He is not a two spot hitter.

I like the top of the order the way Jack has it now.

I would like to see Choi and Conine switch #5 and 6...until Choi starts hitting again.

Also would like to see Gonzo stay in the 7th spot.

I really like tonight's lineup and you can look back to the Linuep thread posted before the game).

JP and Luiy provide a perfect 1-2. When JP gets on base he opens the field up for Luiy's ground ball singles. When he doesn't Luiy, if he gets on base, is just as fast and adept a baserunner as JP. Lowell is a perfect three-hitter. High average, good eye, nice power. Miggy hits junk balls very well and forces pitchers to throw to Lowell. Choi gives us a nice lefthanded threat in the middle of the lineup (with Lowell and Miggy inbetween this puts a lot of pressure on the opposing manager's bullpen management) and gets on base a lot and has smart enough baserunning skills to put Conine and Redmond's bat control to good use. Gonzalez, well, he's Gonzalez. What he does in the field mean more than whatever he can bring to the plate.

I still think Gonzalez should hit 7th and Red should hit 8th. Red is a better contact hitter and can make contact on balls out of the zone, plus he is more patient. Alex normally does better in the 7 slot, especially if he has a real hitter (Red in this case) behind him who teams know can hit.

We'll see I guess.

I wouldn`t be comfortable with SB batting second, I like the rabbits being consecutive. I have faith in Luie and JP, Alex can saty where he is. Why mess with things, Chois` really the only one hopelessly struggeling, he`ll get out of it.
