June 4, 200323 yr This is better than Geraldo and Capone's Vault. I wish I was in front of a Tellie right now.
June 4, 200323 yr And did you guys see sportscenter? They had the video tape from that at-bat, and when he was setting thimself, they got an angle of the end of the bat, and there was a big silver "C" on it. He was telling the truth... Good for you Sammy...

June 4, 200323 yr Yes. 100%. On SportsCenter, out of nowhere, they show this... Like when they zoom in and show the players stats before they start the at-bat, be started setting himself, and kinda held the bat up. They stopped the tape, and the was a big "C" at the end of it.
June 4, 200323 yr Had Sosa already told everyone that the "C" is for the cork-jobbed bat, or did Sportcenter just hand him an out on a silver platter?
June 4, 200323 yr Author Dr Adiar is now speaking on the show... he wrote a book on baseball.... he says corking the bat or putting super balls in a bat will only HARM A BAT.... wow :o
June 4, 200323 yr Dr Adiar is now speaking on the show... he wrote a book on baseball.... he says corking the bat or putting super balls in a bat will only HARM A BAT.... wow :o Wow, he knows a lot. But David Justice just made a very, very valid pint. If you are going to use a corked bat, you are going to do it when you're hitting the ball well...
June 4, 200323 yr good to hear the commish say that none of sosa's 77 bats are corked. I didn't believe it but maybe it was a mistake. only question I have is why would you use a corked bat to get ready for a game in which you won't be using it?
