June 24, 200422 yr -- Now this is a wild scenario: In Orlando, they're discussing moving T-Mac to Houston for Franchise and Mobley, and then Franchise going to Seattle for Ray Allen and some combination of players. Mobley and Drew Gooden would then go to Miami in exchange for Caron Butler, who had a pretty mediocre season last year. For now, though, the Magic have stopped all trade talk. -- The Cavs also are talking to Miami about trading the ten pick and DeSagana Diop in exchange for Caron Butler and the 19th pick. Miami may also be interested in Juanny Wagner. Good to see that someone still is. Wow! Giving up Caron for Gooden and Mobley is a steal!
June 24, 200422 yr I think butler has to much talent to give him away even though mobley's awesome,i would be real mad if caron leaves.
June 24, 200422 yr yeah, but we have rasual too i like the Cavs trade though....isn't Diop pretty good?? and young if he can be our center then grant can play PF and odom can play SF while i like caron...he is expendable
June 24, 200422 yr I like the Rocket trade a lot. I think Gooden would be a great fit with the Heat and he is still young. Mobley does tend to shoot a lot which I do not like but he knows how to play defense and can shoot. Also Gooden can play the 3 and would give the Heat a huge height advantage in the East.
June 24, 200422 yr diop has been a bust to this point. gooden is also young and has potential. and he has size. mobley is better than butler is today. in terms of young guys you trade a swing man for a big man. it would actually be a very smart trade. dont exactly know how that one would work in terms of the CBA considering Gooden and Butler shoudl both be on rookie contracts.......but it sounds good....heat would probably end up trading someone else also.
