With a high leg kick and white pants all the way down, as opposed to the black leggings, D is probably thinking he can confuse batters from picking up his release immediately. Flash of white pants in high leg kick followed by his deceptive deliver and a white ball can throw hitter's timing off and probably help him out. Just a thought. I believe Bob Gibson would polish his white cleats to throw off hitters' timing.

June 25, 200422 yr Pants up or down are not going to win the game for him. Dontrelle needs to work on his control, and developing a 3rd pitch, like a splitter, or slider.
