June 28, 200422 yr Everytime the Marlins and Phillies are tied for 1st, the Marlins always win and the Phillies always lose! did anyone notice this? also everytime the Fish go on a winning streak-losing streak the Phillies do to!

June 28, 200422 yr Neither team has really shown they "want it". The NL East this year looks alot more like the NL West free for all's rather than the traditional NL East

June 28, 200422 yr Last year was ridiculous, tambien. We had that disastrous West Coast swing where we went 1-8. That should have buried us but Philly went 1-9!

The main point is, if the Marlins had turned it up, like they did at the beginning of this season, for either May or June, they'd have sole control of first, with a good 5-10 game lead on Philly. And if Philly didn't have the disastrous start they had to start the season, they'd be the ones with a 5-10 game lead on us. We just need to up the ante to win this division, and it's because we don't that a team like the Mets are in contention.
