Declining Batting Average

Take a look at our team batting average per month so far this season:

April .267

May .258

June .253

July .224

And we had excuses like Ramon Castro and a slumping Gonzalez in April and May.

As a team we are 28th with RISP.

It's difficult to argue that Bill Robinson is making a good contribution getting these guys out of their collective slump. They continue to get worse.

Also, if you look at the performance of our bench, they are hitting .159....26th worst in MLB.

Not only do we need a solid #3 hitter, we also need to upgrade our bench.

Do we also need a new batting coach?
