MLB Future Report
When you have the first pick in the draft every year you should be able to put together a good farm system. 476528 exactly

Something going down....
If we make a major move at this point then I have to conclude that the organzation believes that we can't risk raising the white flag with the stadium deal still in limbo. Thats the only rationale for being buyers rather than sellers. 475949 not to mention we would lose the momentum of an increasing fan base if we surrender

Penny seems like hes on the decline 475950 Im gonna disagree with you 100% I think he is gonna get bettter with age 475961 i think so too i guess what i meant is this season...out of our 5 starters he would be best to trade we clearly arent going to sign him next season, he should command more than pavano i think
-
Wayne showcased?
We need Murphy to replace Pavano or Penny. We can't throw away next year for a small chance of making the playoffs this year. 475884 this years chance of making the playoffs is much better than next years with penny gone we have a black hole...possibly pavano also armando at 3.5 mill this year is a bargain this year is going to be our best chance in my opinion in the near future not to mention the division is incredibly weak this year and our pitching would be devastating in the playoffs
-
Question for someone
i havent ever heard of that happening in baseball

Gammons on the 6PM Sportscenter
losing stokes is no big deal...he will be blocked by choi anyways sending stokes away is similar to what we did with valdez (they werent going to be in our future anyways) next season the only things we will need from the farm are one starter (assuming we resign pavano) and catcher Our best bet might be to send Penny away to someone like Texas for some pitching prospects....(but then we obviously have no 5th starter for this season) Penny seems like hes on the decline

Something going down....
this is good news no doubt it shows that the front office is convinced that this is a very good team (so am i) but the way we have been playing......it just might not be our year we will see one thing is for sure, this starting rotation will be dangerous in the post season

He says Murphy, but I hope not. It wouldnt be that bad of a deal - Redman and Stokes for Neu and Finley - but I want to keep Murphy around if we are going to end up losing Pavano or even Penny in the near future. 475702 I wouldnt really think of it like that because Murphy is more valuable to us than Redman, especially because he would be cheap

I dunno about trading Murphy we are going to have some holes in our rotation next season
-
Should we sell or buy?
it depends im ready to sell if we dont win this next series if we can win at least 3 then im ready to add on winning 2 isnt acceptable, if we only win 2 i think its time to count us out dont forget though, having beckett back will be a huge boost
-
Everyone is talking about who we should get......
the only reason i say no is because this years team is going to be our best chance of making the playoffs out of all the teams we will have in 4 or 5 years
-
Seriously
if right now we have no shot at making the playoffs then i dont think we ever will i dont think 1 bat can win 10 games however, i think the team as it is can make the playoffs so long as it plays like it can right now its in some serious funk
