July 25, 200422 yr the only reason i say no is because this years team is going to be our best chance of making the playoffs out of all the teams we will have in 4 or 5 years
July 25, 200422 yr The team can't hang it up until the stadium deal and the long term existence of the club is secured.
July 25, 200422 yr This team is withing 3 games. Why would you become sellers? This team may struggle, but if you can make a deal to help this team be more competitive, why wouldnt you do it? Damn people... :banghead
July 25, 200422 yr No to being sellers....but I don't think we'll be heavy into the buyers market either. You CAN'T throw up the white flag when you're this close to first....the White Sox learned that a few years back.
July 25, 200422 yr oh here we go We're barely 3 games out of first. just shut up please, spare us all the annoyance

Damn people... :banghead 474722[/snapback] i don't see what's so unreasonable about that statement.....it's tough to feel like we are "one player away" when you watch games like the Pirates series and this Expos series. that being said, if we could get a big-splash differencemaker player like Admin Walker, we have to do it. i agree that if we're ever going to take a chance, we owe it to ourselves to do it this year. the odds of us being able to keep this rotation + Benitez together next year is not that great.
July 25, 200422 yr Author I am not saying that I am neccessarily for being sellers, but we need to do something, but it aquire a walker or finley, or dumping pavano and benitez, as a small market team we can not afford to sit around and hope and at the end of the season let those guys walk.
