Just Martha did the wrong thing at the wrong time. 461095[/snapback] Martha wasn't charged with insider trading, she was charged with obstruction of justice for giving statements the prosecution believed to be false. Keep in mind that the statements she made were not under oath anyway. I had to write a paper about this last semester. It is a DISGUSTING case of making someone the scapegoat. Even if she was guilty, no way someone deserves to be jailed for this.

They couldn't nail her on that so they went elsewhere? Haven't really followed to case, because honestly I don't care about anything Martha Stewart related, but that's what I remember the last time I read something.
July 20, 200422 yr Ok, someone explain this one to me.... Martha gets charged with SEC insider trading and obstruction. Subsequently she's convicted of obstruction, and the insider trading charges are dropped. In other words........ Matha was convicted of covering up a crime she did not commit. Insert logic here.
