July 18, 200422 yr This is getting rediculous.... Its mid- July and we still havent found a lineup that we stick with.....we need to have a Lineup and stick with it!!!!!.....with the exceptions of sundays and platooning against a lefty, etc..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!My lineup i would stick with is: Vs. RHP 1. Pierre 2. Choi 3. Cabrera 4. Lowell 5. Willingham 6. Castillo 7. Gonzalez 8. Treanor / Redmond 9. Pitcher
July 18, 200422 yr Yeah, well, if we had stunk it up the way we have with the same line-up every day, people would be asking why we don't change it. When nothing is working, you have to try to switch things around. I think it's at the point where it's out of Jack's hands though. The players have to step up their game
July 18, 200422 yr my lineup :mischief2 1. Pierre CF 2. Castillo 2B 3. Willingham C 4. Lowell 3B 5. Cabrera RF 6. Choi 1B 7. Conine LF 8. Gonzales SS 9. Pitcher thats my line up since we are never going to make a trade to bring a bat. start Willingham at catcher i dont want to see redman and trainer bat again they both are hitting under 2.60 no power and dont get walked :mad :
July 19, 200422 yr Author 1. Pierre CF 2. Choi 1B 3. Cabrera RF 4. Lowell 3B 5. Willingham C 6. Conine LF 7. Gonzalez SS 8. Castillo 2B 9. Pitcher
July 19, 200422 yr I don't why you don't think there's been so many lineup changes. I could tell you Jack's lineup every day within one mistake. A. Start with the basic: 1/2 JP / Luiy; 3/4 Cabrera / Lowell; 5/6 Conine / Choi; 7/8 Gonzalez / Redmond B. Pick out the players who have been struggling that week and drop them down one spot. So if Cabrera is struggling he can be moved down to 4, but if Lowell is struggling he must stay at 4 because 5/6 are always for Niner and Choi. 1. If both players are struggling just shrug and admit there's nothing you can do. After all it's ludicrous to think Conine may be struggling because he's being protected by Alex Gonzalez. Or that a guy with a .250 average should bat high in the order. Or that you don't have to use your speed guys at the top. No, no, no. Move on. C. Bench players, especially guys who hit a home run the day before. 1. Try to do it before a scheduled off day so you can give your players two days of rest! 2. Ride the hot hand on the bench, even if that hand was hot two weeks ago and is in a 2 for 30 slump. Keep playing him, he'll break out of it for sure. That's why he's been in the big leagues for over a decade. "Abraham Nunez who? Never heard of him. You say he might play decent defense? Oh, that's nice. {turns and yells down the bench: Hey Lenny! Get your bat!} He's the career pinch-hit leader, you know? Real spark off the bench." D. Always always always play a newly acquired guy that same night. 1. If he's a rookie place him as low in the order as possible. E. If all else fails try something really crazy like bat your best on-base guy high in the order or give your bottom of the order a chance to contribute. 1. If a win occurs, see A. 2. If a loss occurs, see A.
July 19, 200422 yr My lineup. Castillo Choi Lowell Cabrera Willingham / Conine Pierre Gonzalez Redmond / Conine That gives everyone some sort of protection while balancing out the speed we need to use to win at Pro Player. You could swap the 3-4-5 but ideally you'd like to give your best hitters the most at bats as you can. And it gives McKeon options if he doesn't want to use Willingham in a crucial spot. And you could swap the 1 and 6. I think Castillo should leadoff because gets on base more. Pierre is faster, but is a hunted man on the basepaths. Although Castillo is a much better hitter and can dial up a hit it seems when he wants to so he may have more value batting with someone on base. Conine and Redmond at the bottom aren't an indication of how well they're hitting. It's to avoid having the pitcher leading off innings.
July 19, 200422 yr Mckeon should stick with this one Juan Pierre Luis Castillo Mike Lowell Miguel Cabrera Hee Seop Choi Abraham Nunez Alex Gonzalez Redmond/Treanor Pitcher That should do it.
July 19, 200422 yr and where is Willingham in your lineup hombre? 463888 Sorry i forgot, replace Nunez with Willingham.
July 19, 200422 yr I like your lineup Miami....I want Willy in there protecting Cabby and Lowell....the potential is there.....
July 19, 200422 yr If Willingham aint catching, I dont want him in the lineup. Jack needs to play Nunez as the 4th OF. We have way too many lineup threads...
July 19, 200422 yr This is getting rediculous.... Its mid- July and we still havent found a lineup that we stick with.....we need to have a Lineup and stick with it!!!!! 463657 It's not as bad as the Mets... they've had 70 different lineups this season...
July 19, 200422 yr If Willingham aint catching, I dont want him in the lineup. Jack needs to play Nunez as the 4th OF. We have way too many lineup threads... 464080 that needs to happen. Nunez in LF and Willingham behind the plate. Simple.
