Heat Tickets Selling Like Hot Cakes...

Featured Replies

Accord: Could you tell me where i can find that info about not being able to sell my tickets at any price. I went to the Heat site and i couldnt find anything. Also, in my statement, it says that tickets could be revoked if someone is thrown out of my seats a 2nd occasion. Thanks.

On the papers you had to sign in order to buy the season tickets, you agreed not to resell any of your tickets, you should read the fine print :thumbup . Also, just call your season ticket rep and ask them, they'll tell you the same thing.

A little off topic, but I read on the Heat's website that single game ticket prices are going to be increased by a large amount.

My family has had Heat season tickets since 2001, but we never renew the tickets after each season because they always want a huge deposit up front before the previous season is even finished in order to save our seats for the next season, and when you've got 4 seats that's a lot of money to put down all at once for a regular working family. So we would just buy new seats right before the preseason began to avoid having to put down a massive deposit to save our seats and there's never been a problem with getting seats before and we were planning on doing the same thing this year, then news of Shaq coming here got out and the entire lower bowl was completely sold out before you could even blink your eyes and seats in the upper bowl are terrible. Needless to say i'm pretty pissed that i've been to every Heat home game over the past few years, yet I won't even be able to a game now that Shaq is here, but there's nothing I can do :confused . The more I think about it the more PO'ed I get, I just think about how fun the season ticket holder luncheon was last year how you got to mingle with all the players and stuff, and I won't get to do that with SHAQ. Also, we would always get free parking each year just because the Heat were so desperate to sell season tickets, but this year there was no bargaining and no freebies because they know every game will be a sellout and that's an extra something like $1000 we would have had to spent on parking alone. Once the whole Shaq era in Miami is overwith in 2 years or so and all the bandwagonism goes away, we'll probably get Heat season tickets again.

ouch. that f***ing sucks dude. :confused

i hate that whole upfront deposit thing.

Thats strange. The paper i signed was to authorize my credit card and i read the small lettering and it doesnt say anything about reselling tickets. Maybe i'll need to sign that later on.

Im sorry to hear that you couldnt get tickets...Shaq trade went down on Wednesday and i ordered the tickets that morning since my friend told me that they hold onto your tickets for 48 hours until you fax them back your sig. As of that moment that still had some good seats in the lower bowl. In fact, i had called Tuesday for the cheap seats and they were all out but Wednesday morning the Heat re-released seats of those who didnt complete their order w/in the 48 hrs (People started ordering tickets since Monday, the first business day after the rumored trade). They had the $22 lower bowl seats which are a bargain for the view but i couldnt afford it at this time.
