July 23, 200422 yr Danny Bautista. Current BA 328 (last 30 days .352) Hits 103, HR 10, SLG 463. Past BA (Arizona) 2001 .302, 2002 .325, 2003 .275. And he is an excellent outfielder, all 3 positions. And an excellent X-Marlin who produced for us.
July 26, 200422 yr Author who says Bautista is even available? 472404[/snapback] Today, Monday, 7/26, PBPost Sports section headline is: "Bautista could be a trade possibility." Good reality check by Tom D'Angelo. Includes: "Bautista, 32, is much more affordable, he would be owed less than half of his $4 million contract..." And adds that Bautista will be a free agent end of this season. We can't afford a miracle worker. And, sadly, right now we probably need more than one.
July 26, 200422 yr there is chatter out here about the possibility of bautista moving .. the marlins are one of the leads on this however, the local climate is angry over past deals .. they gave away schilling and gave up a lot for sexson ... the fans are demanding that if a move is made for any of their 3 major targets they get major league talent in return .. this has led to the common story that the d'backs asking price is too high
