August 4, 200422 yr Wasn't the story last year how we got McKeon and finally started to play along expectations and beat the teams we should beat. Well McKeons not doing the job this year. Losing so much against last place teams I think has alot to do with the manager. McKeon has to get them ready to play against everyone not only big games like the Phils. I know it's mostly the Marlins playing badly but I believe a team can't play without fire and that has alot to with the manager.
August 4, 200422 yr in our recent losses against last-place teams, our biggest problem has been scoring runs...the pitching has been fine, as usual. if you're going to blame the coaching staff, wouldn't it be fair to first point the finger at the hitting coach?
August 4, 200422 yr Author When you hear always what makes Cox such a good manager and why they always win and the answer is always around how he ets the best out of everyplayer and gets the team fired up to play everygame against everyteam.

Give him a break man! People are so quick to blame the manager! The team is not playing well at all right now and it's the players' fault, not the manager's...

August 4, 200422 yr I like McKeon. Maybe it's because where I'm from but I like authoritarian managers. But he has cost the team games by playing the bench too much, requesting Lenny Harris make it out of ST over Wilson Valdez and his bullpen management and has put more than a few players off in his tenure. I think this is his last year anyway.
