August 13, 200421 yr whats up with this? Barry Bonds was removed from tonight's game after seven innings, and manager Felipe Alou refused to give an explanation following the game. Asked if Bonds had requested to come out, Alou said: "I don't have an answer to that question. That's in the team. I don't have to explain that." Something significant must have happened. If not, Alou would have had no reason to withhold the info. Aug. 12 - 11:37 pm et
August 14, 200421 yr The Giants were up 7-0 and Jason Schmidt was cruising. There is absolutely no need for him to be in there for the 8th and 9th inning in a game like that... Barry is the best, but he's getting old. He needs all the time off he can take.

August 14, 200421 yr Alou is a very old man. He probably just forgot what happened and was too embarassed to admit it. Oh and Barry just turned 40.. My man doesn't need to gain a year that quick.... I'm still in denial about him getting old.
