August 15, 200422 yr NL rankings, runs scored: 1. Colorado 632 2. San Francisco 610 3. St. Louis 605 4. Philadelphia 582 5. Atlanta 556 6. Cincinatti 554 7. Chicago 541 8. Los Angeles 535 9. Houston 529 10. San Diego 526 11. New York 519 12. Florida 507 13. Pittsburgh 500 14. Arizona 473 15. Milwaukee 459 16. Montreal 437 And since Colorado plays in the easiest park for hitters while the Giants play in the toughest, the Giants have the best offense in the NL. Of course, that's because of one guy. Without Bonds, the Giants would probably be last. In games Bonds doesn't play, they average 2.5 runs per game, which adds up to 293 runs for the entire season so far, way below Montreal. That's why he's MVP. Bonds alone is much better than any entire offense in the NL combined, as this clearly shows.
August 16, 200422 yr Why Bonds is MVP and will win the MVP.. Rolen, Pujols, and Edmonds will take votes away from each other meaning Barry will walk away with it!
August 16, 200422 yr I don't like voting for MVPs on non-playoff teams. 512523[/snapback] Don't jinx yourself... The Marlins are chasing the Giants, ya know.. If the Marlins don't make it, the Giants will take the Wild Card. Their bullpen seems to be coming around, which was their biggest weakness..
August 16, 200422 yr as long as Bonds OBP is more than half of everyone else's OPS, he is hands down the mvp. not pujols, rolen, edmonds, beltre...none of them. bonds is so unbelievably good, it makes having a nl mvp debate useless. you can only debate 2nd place, because bonds is the best. he has the second highest ops ever this year and the highest obp ever. no debate. and giantsfan, you're going to owe me 20 bucks. remember our bet?
