Will be the date of the last game in Major League Baseball to be played on AstroTurf. Talk is that MLB ordered them to get rid of it in time for 2005 after complaints from the player's union. After inspecting it SkyDome officials decided to go along with the demand.

Thus, ending the almost 40 years of Major League Baseball on the beloved Astroturf. :plain

Last MLB game on AstroTurf: October 3, 2004 - New York Yankees at Toronto Blue Jays
