September 8, 200420 yr Looks like the Cards got owned. 547551[/snapback] Not really.. Cards still won the season series 4-2 .. even though they lost 2/3 in Petco. Pujols had a huge brainfart today, Morris was his typical self that cant give us back to back nice games and he looked like he was pitching injured.. By that time it would look like the Cardinals tanked a game at 7-2.. I hate to say that because I know they got beat but the Cards didnt even need this win. They tried to come back but couldnt today with Edmonds, Womack, Walker all on the bench.. I'm still puzzled as to why LaRussa sat Edmonds today when Edmonds has had the best career numbers vs Wells on the Cardinals team with exception of Rolen before today. Oh well I guess that's what being like 16 games up is like.. You can afford to screw around and lose games occasionally.. Not like the Pads will be around to face us in the playoffs so no worries. :lol And I even gave Andy Ashby a standing ovation. How cool is it too see Ankiel succeed last night and Ashby today?
