Good one. And the Narnia Series. The Horse and His Boy was my fav.

I guess the books I enjoyed were"tales of a fourth grade nothing" and "superfudge" by Judy Blume. My favorite of all time is "Tom Sawyer".

Yes, along with THe Huck Finn book easily two of the great stories of childhood adventure. We're reading it now in Lit as easy return from summer and reading and I can't believe how many kids in my class hate Huck Finn.

You have adventure and at the core Twain's disdain for the southern people of The 19th century.

The Narnia Series is a really good one. I dunno which one I liked best never got to finish the whole series, there was about 7 books I think.

Far Side of the Mountain and the other one too were good.

I also liked for shits and giggles The Wayside School Stories.

Another book that I liked was "The Watsons Go To Birmingham 1963"

It always cracked me up when Kenny's (the main character) brother, Byron, got his lips frozen to the sideview mirror of their car and his mother had to pull his head to make his lips come apart, and a layer of skin was pulled away from his lips and was stuck on the sideview mirror. Kenny kept on calling Byron "The Lipless Wonder"

Great book.
