DTrizzle Posted September 13, 2004 Share Posted September 13, 2004 my computer doesnt boot i press th e power button and i hear these clicking noises coming from my computer all hardware is fine, i checked connections, all are fine it gives me my boot options (hard drive 1, hard drive 2, floppy, cd rom) its supposed to boot from the first hard drive (IDE 1 i believe) but i guess it cant find the OS? or something? this has happened before but i dont remember what i did to solve it im guessing it cant find the OS or where to boot from within the hard drive help please Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Watcha talkin bout Willis? Posted September 14, 2004 Share Posted September 14, 2004 I know it's too late now but you could have downloaded a Linux Live CD that boots from your CD drive. Knoppix is the most common one, then Slax. It's an OS that runs from the cd. Maybe you might have been able to do something about it...im not sure though....like backing up your files...
