September 13, 200420 yr Author well it looks like my first hard drive has been completely wiped out....i cant even find it in dos i guess i will just have to find an xp cd and format, reinstall everything im extremely pissed right now
September 13, 200420 yr Author does anyone know where i can get a free boot disk thing that has an option to format the drive before installing the OS?
September 14, 200420 yr I know it's too late now but you could have downloaded a Linux Live CD that boots from your CD drive. Knoppix is the most common one, then Slax. It's an OS that runs from the cd. Maybe you might have been able to do something about it...im not sure though....like backing up your files...
September 14, 200420 yr Maybe your hard drive is busted and you need to buy a new one. If you can't format the drive that might be it.

There is a program with which you can burn cd's that comes with it. Theres support for printers. It has your basic programs like text editors, painting programs and the like....media players. etc..
