September 16, 200422 yr Some random thoughts: Who the hell is pitching Friday? We'll see how bad this team wants the playoffs by how pissed they come out today. If they want it, they'll blow Livan out of the water. A sweep vs the Braves is not only possible, but it would be huge. As long as the bats show up, they haven't been doing so hot. AJ being bumped back could give us the oppurtunity to shoot out Pavz and AJ in the DH on Monday. That would be huge. Attention Offense: Hit the ball in the frigging air! Other random thought: anyone who wants to beat the Marlins in the playoffs should just start four rookie ball pitchers who have never pitched a major league game. Four game sweep guaranteed. And this isn't something we've just done this year, either. Different year, same garbage. 560963[/snapback] If AJ is available for Monday's DH, then this will look like an evil plot on our parts! Truthfully, it was just a bad day yesterday. The funny thing about a DH is that if you are having an off day and play bad in the first game, you cant get it done in the second either. Patterson pitched very well in the first game, hats off. Bump sucked in the second game. Sad, but true. Win tonight and who knows how things play out. As long as there are games to be played, there is still hope and life.
September 16, 200422 yr I think that we have 2 big keys if we want to make the postseason: We need someone to step up as a 6th starter and somebody besides Mota and Armando to step up in the pen. No matter what though I still belive!!
September 16, 200422 yr I agree with Juanky - it astounds me that we make so many no-name pitchers look like Cy Young. Personally, I hope we face aces across the board - everyone throw your best pitchers at us - then and only then do we have a shot! GO MARLINS!

We're sending one out there one, maybe two more times, which is guaranteed to be a loss unless Jack pulls them at first sight of trouble or the bats show up late.
