I dont know how much appetite sold, but I know that the Black album sold 14 million copies in the US, I dont know about the world. I will even admit that st anger sucks, but it did make it to number 1 on the charts when it was released. Metallica is better than GnR.

I dont rememeber exactly what year it was when they were touring together, but GnR cancelled the tour because metallica was bigger than them and getting louder reactions from the crowd.

yeah, Metallica is still making music. awesome. i respect that a band can stay together for so long. doesnt make them better though. Aerosmith is still around. i wouldnt say that theyre better then the Who, the Doors, or Led Zeppelin. theyre just able to churn out the same song year album in and album out. at least Guns went out with a bang, as the best, most badass rock band on the planet. Metallica is now forever in the category of "damn man, when will they ever stop?" the Metallica fans that go to the concerts are the same fans they had 10 years ago.

Well they couldnt replicate that. Load has some real good songs as does Re-load, but not like their old stuff.
