Socialism sucks horribly. Right now, France is encouraging more workers to come, so they can be taxed emensley to support the growing retired population.

Yes I think every American should have medical insurance no matter how much money they make.

Article in USA Today had a bunch of neat-o facts about socialized medicine and Canada's system seemed ok. If I remember correctly it stated that the doctors were private, but the government set prices and paid the insurance or something to that effect. It seemed like the doctors still made a decent living (they certainly do in England) and the system gives health care to everyone. It's really a tough issue though that I can understand both sides of the issues.

Not like we need to worry about it happening.

 

With the strangle hold the Insurance companies have on Congress it will never happen.

The problem with socialized medicine or universal healthcare, is that the Quality of healthcare declines, America has the best healthcare system in the world, the best machines, the best doctors, the best hospitals, why does America have the finest quality of healthcare, it is because the governments cheap asses arent paying the bill, governments ALWAYS find the most economic way to do anything, the lowest bidder always gets the job, do you really want the lowest bidder taking care of you when you need help i dont

Can any of you actually offer a solution for the massive crisis that is happening? Accord? Fish tank frenzy?

With the govt doing volume buys of med gear for the new docs, better prices can be negotiated.

 

Yeah, Im fine with that. But fishtankfrenzy and accord dont seem to be.

 

I haven't thought the whole thing through completely, this is still in the broad strokes stage.

 

At least you offered something. Better than what the guys above did. They seem more intent on calling people communists than actually thinking through a solution.
