November 14, 200421 yr We have the best 1-2 punch with Luis and Pierre. Why break it up? Although it sounds tempting to get Soriano and just raise our payroll a few milllion-it's not worth it. I think we need help in other areas much more than in the leadoff position. And although you are guaranteed a great player and a probably hall of famer in Sorinao-it still isn't worth it. And were not going to be able to keep Soriano for long anyways. He would probably demand too much money for us and we would lose him. Luis is good enough for me and we have anough money to pay him. But yeah...sure-if we had a lot of money like the Yankees then I would do it in a second. And that is only if they would deal Soriano straight for Luis which they most probably won't. We would probably have to give them even more. And if we would have to give them even more then the answer is much clearer.
