November 20, 200421 yr I have already asked a few people this but they have no clue. I have Jury Duty Monday and I was wondering if there is any chance that I can be exempted from it? I am a full time student and I do not want to miss alot of classes because I have finals soon and I wont be able to pass the class if I miss too many days! :thumbup Thanks
November 20, 200421 yr go and tell them you hate some ethnic or religious group or tell them you can judge innocence or guilt by just looking at someone... or you can just try to explain your situation to the court when you go.

November 21, 200421 yr I know that if you are called for jury duty in Miami-Dade and you are a student, youre supposed to send it back to them with your next break, but that kinda sucks, especially if you get picked for a jury during a break time. I also know that if you simply dont show up, theyres nothing they can do to you, because they have no way of proving it actually got to you in the mail since they dont certify or register it, not that anyone should do that :whistle . But seriously, if you want to the right to a jury trial, you should also live up to the responsibility that goes with it. Ive been called three times, went each time, but never got picked for a jury.
November 21, 200421 yr I talked to a lady when I got there...and begged her...she said, "Okay, go home! Just go!" And complimented her outfit....

Your teacher is trying to get everyone to take the test at the same time so there's less work for them in giving make-up exams. Don't you read the Code of Student Conduct? Don't you know your rights as a student? No matter what the teacher or Principal says you cannot be failed from a course simply because you didn't take the exam on the specified date, especially with an excused absence.

Getting the notes from a friend sometimes isnt the same as actually being in class.

Maybe the teacher can give her the work in advance? They often to this to kids who will be out for an indefinite amount of time so they don't fall too far behind.
