July 8, 200323 yr ***AAA Albuquerque*** *Scott Sanders went 7 strong innings allowing (5H, 2ER, 2BB, 5SO, 0HR) getting the win...with VLAD Nunez pitching the last 2 innings with this line (1H, 0ER, 1BB, 1SO) *OF Stratton - got 0H, but walked 2 times and had 0K's. *C Matt Treanor - walked 3 times! *OF Abe Nunez - had 2SO, 1H, 3RBI's *Chris Donnels first start...which he played 1B he went 0-4 *2B Hooper - 2H including a double *3B Jason Wood got 3H All other teams except Greensboro have off until the 10th for the ASB. Greensboro got spanked 15-1 ...so nothing to report there...except Tom Merkle continuing to play well.
July 8, 200323 yr So I guess Donnels will be playing 1st not 3rd. Still don't understand why a guy like Sanders is in AAA and guys like Tejera and AA are in the Majors. Is it only because they are lefties? The only reason I believe AA is on the roster is because I think Admin is trying to ship him out and if he sends him down to AAA his price tag would go down. Thats if anyone actually wants Almanza
