December 24, 200421 yr Well, I lost in the first round in my public teams. :thumbdown :lol In the private league, I'm ranked 7th (7 game winning streak) and beat the 2nd seed. He had Manning and T.O.. I thought I was gonna lose. :lol Thanx to Raven's D and Roy Williams. I won 68-46.
December 24, 200421 yr I'm in the championship with a team that features a WR core of Porter, Randle El, Colbert, Galloway, Patten, Gabriel
December 24, 200421 yr Well I have a 7-2 record (joined late in the season) and I am going for the Championship this weekend and riding a 5 game winning streak. My team has Daunte Culpepper, Marvin Harrison and Drew Bennet who has been on fire lately.
December 25, 200421 yr If you started Volek, and you know Bennett is his prime target now, you know thats double the points for TDs
December 26, 200421 yr Im in the SB too Manning, Tatum Bell, Michael Bennett, Julius Jones, Harrison, Porter, Gonzalez, Lindell, Bills D
December 27, 200421 yr I didn't start McGahee but I was playing for a 3rd place which gets me nothing.... my MVPs for my team would have to be Priest Holmes and Muhsin Muhammad
December 27, 200421 yr As long as McNabb doesn't get 31 points tonight.... I will have won the MarlinsBaseball.com Fantasy Football League..... Florida Waterboys --- 2004
December 27, 200421 yr woot I won my league!! cha-ching!! My league is CBS Sportsline, fwiw, and we don't play a week 17 game. I made the most ridiculous luck-filled run.. I won my league without Priest Holmes.. Not to mention I was without my Top 3 runningbacks that i drafted because of injury.. Priest Holmes, Michael Bennett (traded in week 10 but lost job because of injury) and Ty Wheatley... then Blaylock got hurt. I also made some trades that got me in contention.. my 2 RBs at the end of the season were Kevin Jones and Sammy Morris. I got so lucky though.. I got in as the wildcard (4 teams in playoffs, 12 in league) and last week I won because i started Kerry Collins over Trent Green and the guy I played had Manning but he only had 1 TD... This week the guy i played finished with 53 points (which is one of the year lows in our league).. I'm up 86-53 and i still have my defense left. My team finished looking like this: QB - Trent Green and Kerry Collins (waiver) RB - Kevin Jones (trade) RB - Sammy Morris (waiver) WR - Chad Johnson WR - Joe Horn (trade) WR - Chris Chambers TE - Antonio Gates K - Mike Vanderjagt D - Philly Trades I made: After week 9: Gave: Roethlisberger (waiver) and M. Bennett Got: Kevin Jones and Derrick Blaylock *Big Ben's value was at it's highest, he need Bennett as security on Onterrio. I needed RBs bad because Priest just got hurt and my other starter was Wheatley and he was on bye the next week. After week 10: Gave: Dallas Clark (waiver) Got: Santana Moss *He needed a TE bad and was stacked at WR and I needed a WR After week 11: Gave: Brandon Stokley (waiver) and Santana Moss (trade) Got: Joe Horn *He needed WR depth.. I wanted to solidfy starters.. Stokley ended up doing good but Horn had more points than Stokley in the weeks I had Horn in weeks 12 through 16 so it worked out fine. Well, now I'm a couple hundred bucks richer so I'm happy.
December 27, 200421 yr Author Well, I'm leading by 46 points right now, I should be in the Championship game next week. Who should I start next week? Michael Clayton or Chris Chambers?
December 27, 200421 yr Author That's what I was thinking too. Hopefully, Randy Moss and Marvin Harrison will get me alot of points next week.
December 27, 200421 yr Is Indy's playoff seed set? If so, Harrison might not play that much.. who knows.
December 27, 200421 yr Author Is Indy's playoff seed set? If so, Harrison might not play that much.. who knows. 643368[/snapback] Yeah, they're set at the #3 seed.
December 29, 200421 yr Author The championship game, 4th seed (him) vs. 7th seed (me). I don't think I have a chance, I think he's gonna beat me.
December 29, 200421 yr I lost in the Championship game 61-40. :thumbdown But I am happy, since it was my first fantasy football team.
December 29, 200421 yr I won the consalation bracket in both my leagues to finsh 5th in both. In one league I suffered a ton of injuries and had to settle for 5th and in my other league I was 2-7 and dead last in the league but won 9 straight to take 5th and both rounds of the playoffs I could have won against top 4 teams. Oh well I guess I have to get ready for next year.
