Phantom of the Opera

Featured Replies

I saw the musical many years ago when it was at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts and for someone who is a musician and a singer, I was blown away at the performances and the music.

This movie better live up to it's stage reputation. Everyone whom I've talked to who has seen it has loved it.

I'm curious as to what your opinion is, Beinfest.

I saw the movie and it was absolutely wonderful. Some of the singing was a little off and airy, but the acting made up for it. It was incredibly well done in the acting department, and the music score. Andrew added some parts to the music in the strings and created a lot more tension which added to the overall flavor of the movie. Emmy Rossum is definetly going to be a big star in the acting world for many years to come. She has a great voice and can act really well.

Overall I'd give it an A- just for the fact that some of the singing was a little on the average side to a person like me who is a musician. Its a must see though and I'd recomend it to anyone. You will enjoy it a lot and it is even more compelling than the play because its a movie.
