February 18, 200521 yr Not interested, I don't think Canseco is a credible source, after all the trouble he's gotten himself into all these years.
February 18, 200521 yr yes...why because what he is saying is true...i dont know why people are acting like this is all new news...steroid talks have been going on since the late 80's but its just now that its blowing up....Camineti was talking about it 5-6 years ago and nobody was paying attention to him....
February 18, 200521 yr I own it and I'm making progress getting through it (damn exams). I must say, for everyone who is actively debating this subject (steroids) to steadfastly refuse to read the only print evidence is really funny. This book excluded, all there is to go in is hear-say; Canseco's the first to name names as a player and even if his details are skewed, the facts are (at least I believe) mostly true. Does he have a vendetta against McGwire? Probably, but does anyone here really think that McGwire went from stick thin to massive overnight without the help of outside sources (remembering that this is before nutritionists and personal trainers were all the rage in baseball)? This book may be the most important baseball related work to come out in the last decade, possibly ever. I strongly suggest reading it, and if you don't, I respectfully ask that you refrain from forming opinions about his allegations if all you go on is segmented media reports.
