Fantasy Baseball

Featured Replies

Almost everyone I know is into some sort of online fantasy sports, well I want to get into fantasy baseball before the season gets underway.

On Yahoo you gotta pay $25? I don't want to pay anything to play fantasy baseball.

Where is a good place to get involved with fantasy baseball? Any other information I should know about how everything works? I'm a total newbie.

Thanks

Sporting News has a good free league.

It's a salary cap league. You start with 30 million $ to buy 8 players (including 3 pitchers, 1 catcher, 1 corner IF, 1 middle IF and 2 OF).

They update daily the players values and current stats.

You get two free trades per week (and can buy additional trades at $1.) Each league has about 20 teams.

I had 3 teams (in 3 leagues) and had a helluva good time.

They have prizes but those are won by the guys who buy lots of extra trades.

I recommend it for Fantasy novices like me.

Yahoo is free. It's always been. I'll see about setting up the official Marlinsbaseball.com league again.
