Mustang

Featured Replies

I really like the new 2005 Ford Mustang, can't wait for the convertible to come out! I just wanted to know if anyone else liked the new Mustang.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, does anyone else love the car Nicholas Cage drives in 'Gone in 60 Seconds?' (1967 Shelby)

the original mustangs are still the best.

but this latest version looks real nice.

The best Mustangs were from 1967-1971 and on a performance perspective 1999-2004.

The new one looks sweet, but I preferred the 1999-2004 style. I prefer modern looks with heritage style as opposed to just straight up heritage styling.

my favorite mustang is the 64 1/2 due to the fact that these were the first.

followed by the 67 shelby

i'd settle for anything to about 69 for an older mustang i suppose.

the styling from the last incarnacation wasnt that bad, just wasnt good enough.

at least for me.

I think it looks great, it's an improvement to the late 90's style and an even bigger improvement to the 80's style.

The 85' 5.0L was the last one that could really scare you.

In what sense? 1987 was the year the 5.0 got a bump in power and they started to look a whole helluva lot better. Damn, the Fox bodies were some cool looking rigs back in their day.

Yech! - the 87's looked like rolling potatoes, not much better than an AMC Pacer.

Fear factor isn't about power. Its about grace under pressure. A 40hp 1961 VW beetle can pucker you up faster than any Mustang ever did if you hit an off ramp with the rear tires running about 20lb pressure. An early 911 doesn't even need the low pressure in the rears to get the adrenaline pumping in the ramps.

I'd never drive an old 911. Those things spin around like a top and I'm not that adventurous. Gimme neutrality or slight understeer as opposed to snap oversteer.

mustangs are bad. theyre just awsome, no other word. my sisters boyfriend has one and its just too cool.
