February 28, 200521 yr ESPN's John Clayton has reported that the Miami Dolphins are interested in Minnesota Vikings backup quarterback Gus Frerotte. He would be an affordable veteran backup option to fill the hole left by the release of Jay Fiedler last week. Meanwhile, the New York Jets have interest in signing either Jay Fiedler or Vinny Testaverde to backup Chad Pennington.

A veteran backup to possibly mentor Feeley a bit. I like his game, and although I know he's nothing more than average, it would be a positive signing.
