March 17, 200521 yr This may be a stretch, but I think there is a possibility the bad publicity MLB is receiving from the steroid scandal could adversely affect the Marlins. MLB is gonna come out of this looking terrible. There are a lot of policy makers that probably oppose this plan already and this gives them another reason to oppose anything MLB related. MLB had a bad image already, and it's getting worse. It's a slow news period right now so it's getting a lot of time on the news channels.
March 17, 200521 yr Author I know MLB will be fine eventually, but it's this year or never for the Marlins. The bad publicity will adversely affect baseball in the short term, and that's probably gonna hurt our efforts for a stadium
