July 20, 200323 yr Watching the game last night, Cabrera at 3rd, I noticed something. This guy has the utmost confidence in his ability. He didnt get a hit last night, and one time he swung at a bad pitch and k'd. But he didnt looked overmatched doing that, he looked like a vet who quickly logged away in his mind that he made a mistake - and he learned from it. I like the way this kid looks out there...he has got it. But in the meantime, we really need to have him play at AAA. The thing is, this kid is ready for the big leagues, but we are not ready for him - we need someone who has less to learn and can contribute more consistently in order to win. Funny though, that his numbers may not be great right now, you get the feeling that Cab isnt suffering from lack of confidence. He and Willis give us a bright, immediate future.
July 20, 200323 yr I want him up. I just like him here. How much better will TH do? If we trade for Jose Guillen or someone else, different story. But as long as the only other starters to throw in there are TH and Banks, keep him up.
