1. The fact that our arms are doing well is great news.

 

2. The bats will be fine. When have you seen Pierre, Castillo, Cabrera, Delgado, Lowell, LoDuca, Encarnacion, Gonzalez in the lineup together with Harris, Aguila, Conine and Easley coming off the bench?

 

3. I said it last season. Bill Robinson is awful. Is it his fault that the team doesn't hit, no. A batting coach does not make a team hit. These are major leaguers folks. What a batting coach does do though is provide insight, tips and analysis based on what he has seen. He helps prevent extended slumps (IE: Lowell and Gonzalez each year). A great example is after the All-Star break I heard Pierre went to a lighter bat and has done so each season after the break. Well, last season he was not hitting that well first half....wouldn't you as coach knowing he typically goes to a lighter bat midseason reccomend it before that time?
