The names used in the Bible are Babylon, Land of Shinar, and Mesopotamia. The word Mesopotamia means between the two rivers, more exactly between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. The name Iraq, means country with deep roots. Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots and is a very significant country in the Bible. No other nation, except Israel, has more history and prophecy associated it than Iraq. And also... This is something to think about! Since America is typically represented by an eagle. March 21, 200520 yr Whether it's of a divine nature or not, doomsday is a reality. 716886[/snapback] i don't disagree with that ... it all depends on context i believe in a basic cycle of living things ... the earth will one day die if there is a religious aspect to both the creation and destruction can be argued ... also timing ... i have a hard time believing the earth will flame out any time soon maybe natural disaster will take it down, but in that case i'd probably die pretty quickly, so it's not something i'm going to concern myself with
