Posted April 20, 200520 yr Last Friday at Shea Stadium, the Marlins saw the best of Aaron Heilman. On Wednesday, Florida hopes for a different result the second time around. Heilman and Josh Beckett take the mound for the second time in five days. This time it's at Dolphins Stadium, as the Marlins return home for five games after completing a five-game road swing through New York and Washington. The Marlins are riding their first three-game winning streak of the season. Beckett has been brilliant thus far, giving up one earned run in 20 innings. But a few days ago in New York, Beckett suffered his first loss, yielding four runs (but only one earned) in five innings. Beckett has a career record of 3-2 against the Mets with a 2.39 ERA. In three starts against New York last season, the hard-throwing Texan was 2-0 with an 0.92 ERA.
April 20, 200520 yr I will be there today, hopefully we can get an early lead for Josh to hold until the seventh or eighth inning, either way, I see us winning, and I will supply the horn power!
April 20, 200520 yr The pitchin has been great all season, the offense has been slow but now it looks like its starting to catch up with the pitching. I get the feeling the Marlins are gonna get on a good winning streak pretty soon and grab first place.
