In FSL action:

3-1, 1.17 ERA in 23 IP, 29 Ks.

K'd 12 over 9 last night against Sarasota.

Just thought I would share that...I can't wait for him to develop.

To make this semi-Marlins related, who is lighting up the FSL for the Hammerheads this season?

I've heard about Verlander before, electric fastball but his downfall is his control. Looks as though so far this year he has a handle on it.

I saw a couple of Lakeland games in a Series earlier in the season when they played the Reds...one guy that caught my eye from Lakeland, Brent Clevlen, that man can rake.

Oh yes, Clevlen is going to be a beast. That Lakeland team is solid, I think that they're 14 and 6 now. They've been blowing through a lot of the competition.

BTW, Verlander has 30 Ks to 5 BBs.

Hate to bump this thread up, although I am in awe of what Verlander is achieving thus far for Lakeland...

Tonight vs. the Daytona Cubs:

8.0 IP, 4 H, 12 K, 0 BB

His ERA is now 1.43. He has 55 Ks to 13 BBs.

I hope this guy keeps it up.

BTW, Lakeland is 27-8, just ripping through the FSL.
