Posted May 27, 200519 yr Miami, FL (Sports Network) - The Florida Marlins activated closer Guillermo Mota from the 15-day disabled list Friday. Mota had been sidelined since April 24 with elbow inflammation. The righthander appeared in two rehab games with Single-A Jupiter, allowing one unearned run on three hits with four strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings. Mota is 0-1 with a 1.86 ERA and two saves in 9 2/3 innings this season.
May 27, 200519 yr i think Todd Jones will be the closer until he loses the job. Jack manages from his gut and based on performance more than any other manager in the league. Lowell and Encarnacion are perfect examples.
