June 3, 200521 yr Team by Team Colorado Rockies Updated:06/03/2005 Interest in Preston Wilson has grown significantly in the last week or so since the outfielder has discarded the left knee brace he has been wearing as a result of multiple surgeries, says the Denver Post. Wilson has looked impressively at bat and in the field and is on the radar screens of Atlanta, Florida, Baltimore, the Mets and the White Sox.
June 3, 200521 yr Because Pierre can't hit right now and Encarnacion does not really make for an ideal centerfielder with his "drifting" to fly balls. Either way, I think it's a misprint...they didn't even mention the Nats who have been hard after him for a while.
June 3, 200521 yr Although with Enc heading to FA/being let go, Cabrera possibily moving to 3B and Pierre's struggles, an extra outfielder (and one that could play CF) would be nice.
June 3, 200521 yr Oh and P-Funk was my favorite Marlin while Steve was gone... Not sure where he fits into the current team but I'd welcome him back anyway as I'm sure he would help us more than hurt us.
June 3, 200521 yr I would rather have Encarnacion than Wilson. Wilson has had injury problems and is making over $12 million this season. 794253 atleast he gives a damn in the field
June 3, 200521 yr If we were to reacquire pfunk it would mean that we are most likely going to move enc for a pitcher, or as part of some larger deal
June 3, 200521 yr I would rather have Encarnacion than Wilson.? Wilson has had injury problems and is making over $12 million this season. 794253 atleast he gives a damn in the field 794277 Wasn't that only one game? I mean, he's known for being good defensively.

He's got a plus arm and good speed, but man oh man, does he drift to balls. All things equal, I wouldn't mind seeing Wilson back, but unless we're just doing a "my payroll headache for yours" I really don't see a reason for us to do it...I mean, I wouldn't give up a prospect or anything with a potential future with the fish for him.
June 3, 200521 yr Author Just curious, that's from RotoWorld.com, right? 794245 Nope, CBS Sportsline
