Posted July 5, 200519 yr ..until they stop wearing the fear and loathing on their faces, they will continue to lose the close ones. The Marlins need to walk out onto the field EVERY GAME knowing (or THINKING) that "they themselves" are the team to beat that night (or day). The reason they again stranded the two lead off runners is because their attitude was "here we go again". Ben Sheets is a very good pitcher but he has never had a winning season. He was 3-6 coming in. We were 3-1 against him.We owned him.But the 2005 Marlins "feared" Ben Sheets yesterday on a night when he did not have his best stuff. His fastball only occasionally topped 95-96,which is NOT a typical Ben Sheets fastball....when he is really on. Let's go into the Allstar break on a high note..and that is to win the next 5 of 6 ....and NO LESS.

I see it on this board all the time. It is okay to disagree, but some people take it so far as to insult other because they see things differently. It gets old.

Network) was making in front of Turnbow one night while interviewing him..with the broadcaster flashing the surfer/narley horns sign with his hand behind his back while throwing the broadcast "back up stairs to you guys"...and the regular broadcast crew were cracking up at the interviewer for making in front of their own player behind his back.It was funny and odd at the same time.

People need to NOT get offended so easily and realize that we DO indeed all react in our own way to events.I for one do get fairly angry at the Marlins and I express it alot on here. And at times, I catch myself not even posting anything when they do something good but rather only when they do something bad (like strand runners, not advance runners, lose, etc). That's something I am trying to correct. But overall...we need more patience on here. :cool
July 5, 200519 yr Did anyone see the Marlins close game stats that were discussed in todays pregame? We are like the 3rd worst team in 1 run games and worst record after being tied after 8 innings. :banghead

It could be marvelous.
