1. >>Sellers? Yeah,well....just ridding of AJ is a monumental "sell". Releasing an $8 million dollar pitcher is a major sell-type move...even though we have to eat his salary>> I was referring to Leiter here of course. If we lose AJ, that's a major sell.If we release Leiter, that's a major sell. We might lose 4 or 5 players by the time August begins or we may not. I am not Beinfest or Mr.Loria. I know one thing. Loria is VERY angry right now...you can see it on his face when the camera gets a shot of him and he will make sure something is done..that much we can bank on.
2. Anyone remember Chuck Knoblauch of the NY Yankees teams of the mid to late 90's? Remember when he hit a consistent .300 in several years with the Twins and then came over to the Yankees and hit around .260- .270? Well, being a Yankee fan originally since 1975 (and still am..but I am a bigger Marlins fan..had no problem rooting for the Marlins in the 2003 WS!), but I paid alot of attention to Knoblauch's swing in those years and it didn't even resemble the same swing he had when he was with the twins. Chuck did nothing but pop the ball up consistently or he would pull lazy choppers down to 2nd base - all the freakin' time. Eerily enough - now JP has been doing the same thing this season. Where is that great instinct to take a pitch and drive it the other way?or slap it the other way?Or chop it the other way? Or bunt it the other way? Everything is pull pull pull or if it does go the other way..it's a pop up or a lazy fly ball. Now, I never did find out why the Yankees hitting coach didn't do a better job of correcting Chuck's mechanics in his swing - because it was so obvious that no one paid attention to it....or maybe Knoblauch was being shown or taught how to adjust but he just wasn't listening???!?? What I wonder about JP is this? What is Bill Robinson doing to help JP? Maybe nothing. Maybe he takes assumes since JP is such a good hitter that he will eventually straighten himself out? What worries me is that I can see how awfully bad JP's swing mechanics are off and it's seems to me that someone would of corrected it by now? I have had always supported Bill Robinson amidst all the negative comments by fans and critics but now I am starting to jump on the bandwagon. If JP continues to make such odd UN-JP like swings - I am going to start suspecting something weird is going on. It almost looks ridiculous. The only other time I felt this frustrated at a very good hitter was CHUCK KNOBLAUCH and HE never did get himself right. Oh, and throwing the ball past the 1st baseman from 15 feet away almost every other time sealed it for me. JP hasn't reached the bottom of that barrel yet. 820825 Folks today accused me of lending nothing to this forum. That I have no knowledge or creedence to lend to this forum.Do a search of Whoshaq and you'll find that I have more knowledge of MLB than probably 95% of the members on this board.I will challenge anyone to my knowledge of the game. I gaurantee that most of this post went over all of your heads.
3. Mike Lowell thing you can't really blame them...I don't think anyone saw this coming.>> No? He went the entire second half in a massive slump? You tell me no one worried a little bit about it carrying over into this season? I did. Al Leiter...while 8 million was excessive and he had started to show signs of what he has been doing in recent years there still was no indication that he would be THIS bad. I worried about bis age factor. It was a known fact that he had lost 6-8 mph off his fastball. But as far as just how bad he's been....I never saw this coming.I just thought $8 mil was alot for this guy.We couldn't of done better? Lee for Choi...move had to be made. It sucks looking back on it, but at the time Lee was unaffordable Well, we kept the core of our players ..and that was what we all were hoping for this time around.Choi fooled us though. He started off amazingly hot and then just totally went cold. Not resigning Pudge...I'm still on the side that this was a good move. I sure wouldn't want to be paying that man 10 million dollars two years from now. It had to be done.Otherwise we wouldn't of been able to afford Delgado and to keep the core of the rest of the team.We ended up with a 3 time allstar in LoDuca. We've done well to fill the void. Trade last year...probably their worst move, but would this team be any better if Penny and Choi were still around? I doubt it. 849862 Their worst move? I guess the F/O never dreamed Mota would be this horrible. LoDuca is a positive.Penny is overrated and Choi is a lifetime .230 hitter who looks as though he'll never be a starter anywhere. At least that's the way it appears. It was not the worst trade ever,IMO.
4. There are no such things as cancerous players, only players that can not fit into a specific clubhouse. Ex. Pudge, Pierzynski and Guillen P.S. And based on your cherrypicking of players, I think you might have an agenda. 849872 Enc's a cancerous player. His laziness rubs off on the other guys.
5. this team hasnt shown fire for more than 2 games in a row all year atleast 1 major change really needs to be made 849800 Maverick,my Sellers topic was locked by the moderator. You told me to GO AWAY. How can you be ignorant toward me? You asked the question in this thread here and I just gave my opinion via my own thread ...as I did not see yours.I just got home and posted without reading yours. So why shoot me down? In other words, how was what I posted any different than what you or anyone else posted here or in the DISGUSTING thread? Ok, get mad if I started yet another similar topic but people get mad at me for being opinionated? Why? Everyone else expresses the same thoughts and all of sudden there are 100 replies in agreement. But when I post something similar, everyone tells me to GO AWAY.\ I might as well shoot myself 849839 It's a freaking forum. People just get mad when you jam down their throats that their team sucks AFTER EVERY LOSS. It gets old. 849847 How am I the only one that jams these opinions down people's throats? (as you so eloquently put it) Do you monitor your own forum? The other day I counted ummm, countless similar topics...and many by the same person. Ignorant..and a definite vendetta against me for no reason..mr.Moderator. Sad to see
6. Look, this team needs to remove the "cancerous" players that are nothing but whiners and complainers and have to absolutely move. The following player, in my estimation have to move becuase they are doing us more harm than good and contribute to a negative clubhouse environment: 1. A.J. Burnett (P) 2. Josh Beckett (P) 3. Guillermo Mota (P) 4. Tim Spooneybarger (P) Even though he has not pitched, he was not well liked in Atlanta becuase of his attitude. These players are not necessarrily bad players, but they are more worried about their paycheck than what the team needs to win. I don't think that this year we have what it take. I think that we should start to focus on what we need and retool for next year. I am not going to put up any mock trades, but it is apparent that some of these guys have to get out of here. 849826 How come this person is not told to GO AWAY?????????????????????????????????????????????????????

8. Red Sox get: AJ Burnett(RHP) Orlando Palmero(OF) Astros get: Jason Stokes(1B) Jay Payton(OF) Yorman Bazardo(RHP) Jon Papelbon(RHP) Marlins get: Bronson Arroyo(RHP) Brad Lidge(RHP) With this, the Astros get a solution at 1B in the long run and 2 good young pitching prospects to take the place of Lidge, plus Payton, who will like being in a position to start. The Red Sox get a replacement outfielder that can play all 3 positions and wont complain about playing time and a frontline starter in case Schilling cant return to form. The Marlins get a dependable starter(who I have wanted to trade for forever, before this season and would set up our rotation like this: Willis, Beckett, Arroyo, Olsen, Moehler), whos presense wont require Leiter or Valdez to be re-inserted into the rotation, and a closer that coupled with Mota could turn into what the Dodgers had with Mota/Gagne(you know, if you had the lead after the 7th you pretty much won). It works out for all 3 teams, I would think so anyway...and you know if I am proposing a trade of Burnett(my all time favorite Marlin, just ahead of Lowell and Gonzo), I am serious I think it would work. 849274 Right now it seems offense is the problem that needs to be addressed.Use Burnett and Enc to get one of these guys - Dunn,Pena,Griffey,Shawn Green,Vernon Wells or whomever..I don't know what else might be available. We can go with Willis, Beckett,Olsen, Moehler, & Valdez.
9. >And what happens if we come out of the gates after the ASB, and rattle off 6 wins in a row? What then?>> 6 in a row out the gate? On the road? :headscratch If they pull off that miracle I'll buy you a beer :cheers
10. Lets see, we lost the first 2 games of the series, inconsisent offense in this series which means the score for the final game will probably be... 23-2. 848935 Difference here is Leiter didn't pitch any of the winning side of the games in Wrigley. So, it may be 23-14 Marlins. A sweep seems imminent based on the pitching match up today , but I will remain positive for a miracle! :lol
11. Yes, amazingly so. Depressed and angry and it's only a baseball team. What TF is wrong with me? :confused
12. I love this board 848839 There another one of those infamous comments from Maverick that doesn't give any explanation........... 848845 it shouldnt need one... but you're semi new so here it is when we win, life is good, everyone is a future HOFer, and we have the title in our grasp when we lose, all hell breaks loose, everyone is a AAAA player, and we are staring worst team of all time in the face 848846 And again. No one says anything in reference to the ferocious negative remarks until I post, then Maverick comes in and posts in reply to my post.I fully know what he means. Eff this board is right.I am f*cking tired of being targeted on here for no reason :mad 848858 Usually your the king of negativity.....Ramp's right...you people all act like your 12 years old.....the season isn't over.....there's 162 games in a season...I'd love to hear u guys during football season....then you slightly have more of a case of being so radical after one game. 848866 And you're the king of "I know it all".You snub your nose at people like me who are just being honest with their emotions. The reason you've seen negative posts from me is because the Marlins have given me reasons to post what I've posted. And again,I have NOT been the only nor am I the KING of such posts as you so snobberishly have appointed me such a title ..so why don't you crawl back into your home :toilet
13. 14. I have a feeling that if they don't come off strong in the first 15 or so games after the break, they will just let the season slip away and we will finish well under .500. 848822 Thanks again for your support of me in the Dontrelle thread! But...the Fish start off on a long road trip after the break. Not a good way to get it going unfortunately I Can't think of anything positive to say (as usual) :confused
15. Disgusting. Thats how the Marlins have been playing. Awful. I can't believe we have such a great team and blow leads and get horrible offense. I can't even watch the Marlins games anymore. If we didn't have Cabrera, Delgado, and Castillo, LoDuca, etc...... and weren't considered a good team, I wouldn't mind watching this team. There is such a huge difference between watching a bad team playing bad, and a great team playing bad. Even the '01 team was a much more fun team to watch than this. Its gets even more harder when your watching your team play at home and the other team has more fans. Im a very positive guy and have always been optimistic when I look at things. I hate to say it though, but unless we get a MIRACLE, this team won't be going anywhere in October except home. Trading AJ seems to make more and more sense each day. Im sure people will say, "O well were only half way through the season", or "We still can win the wildcard" Guess what. The writings on the wall and it isn't saying we have a bright future. Delgado is a great addition, yes, but this team has had a lack of offense for 247 games now. (Last season and this season) Blame it on Robinson, lack of power, Lowell, Jp, whatever. The fact is this team can't play offense. The Nats have this never die attitude when they play that reminds me so much of the Marlins. Meanwhile the Braves, injury infested and all, are on there way to just being 1.5 games back of the Nationals. Somewhere between the end of 2003 and mid-2004, this team stopped that attitude of expecting to win when they came to the park. Why all the negativity??? I just watched the Marlins fall to a team that had lost 8 in a row and without their most important bat last night, and tonight lose by SIX to the CHICAGO CUBS to yet again drop/tie a series. Sure a series should not define a season, but as I said before, this team struggled last year and look like the same team this year I now have two choices. Start watching more Nationals games since I love to watch a team of nobodys play like champs, or go to Marlins games, but expect to loose. This team should now be sellers. AJ and Josh have been dissapointments IMO. THese guys have played GOOD for most of their career and I thought both would be GREAT. Bring in some prospects, and lets change the look of this team. It hasn't been working now for 1 and a half seasons. What the F*CK happend??! :confused 848772 I agree..it is sickening. Also, too bad I get personally attacked by Admin the moderator and others on here when I speak my mind. But I see you and others posting what I did yesterday and now I don't see anyone attacking you. Someone told me in another post to let it slide off my back...but it's hard to do when I get slagged badly for posting stuff like this (which ,again,I agree with your post)...but no one else does. This happens in my personal life too. I guess I am always one of those type people who always get's singled out for some reason. So,I will let it fly now since I have nothing left to lose..as I've been waiting for this type of post and subsequent thread replies from others. I have spent over $2000 on season tix and I want a effing REFUND man....how's that for jumping off the bandwagon, huh?? :banghead EFF this team. They suck beyond belief. They get paid alot of money to win. They were picked overwhelmingly to win the division by 90% of the media writers, etc. This is totally embarrassing and pathetic....I mean that word is an understatement. This board can kiss my arse! :mad :thumbdown :hat
16. Just want people to know that as much as negative as you people think I am,I've sat thru many many rainy games...been to over 90 in a season and a half and who knows how many since 1993. I just don't post my postive thoughts...only my negatives...so it seems as if I am always negative when I am not. I just have to learn to post postive thoughts to counterbalance the negatives.Did that make sense? I love this team! 848050 I think you feel the need to defend yourself more than I do. I am slowly learning to let people's negative remarks slide off my back (I don't get many). You should too. Try not to worry about what other people say about you or how true of a fan you are. In your heart, you know you love this team. Don't let it get to you when people say you are less of a fan than them. It is a childish mind game. I think everyone on here gets attacked for having an opinion now and then. And I think most of us are guilty of having some negative attitudes during some down moments of the season. It happens. We are all human and we all have human emotions (At least I hope so). 848064 Thanks for your words here. After tonight's loss,I want to go vent again :lol But I have to realize that we have another game early tomorrow and to just relax and look foward to that one! We can only salvage the series but at least we can go into the break with a win...and build on that win! Let's Go Marlins!!! Oh,wait...Leiter's pitching? :mad :whistle :whistle :whistle :whistle .....I'm trying :whistle :whistle Anyway, thanks :lol

Jerry Layne

I was thinking the same thing Juanky. He seems to have a serious vandetta here, too many "coincidences" with the same ump the last 2 games. 848646 It's a no win situation unfortunately and that is the sad part :confused I think it's time MLB suspends umpires like they do players and managers. This was a sad turn of events for the game of baseball.Like the NBA,and other Pro sports, the outcome of games are ruled by officiating that have ego problems and want star power. And no one in their respective sports ever does anything about it (Stern,Selig, etc).
18. I know this might sound like a dumb question, but why does the Front Office of the Marlins even bother with having day games?? I can almost guarantee you that probably 8 of 10 games where we have had our worst attendance have come during day games. True Florida Marlins fans are already hard to fine, why make the situation worse with having to sit through a ball game when it is 100 degrees out, humid, no wind, and incredibly sunny. Great beach weather, but hard to watch a game in. I can see having day games during the holidays like on July 4th, but to me the Marlins would see that they could easily get their yearly attendance figures up if they were to cut in half the normal amount of day games they use. Im sure its even harder for the players who have to play in the sunny, hot weather. All the more reason why we need a new stadium. No worries of hot days (if we get a retractable roof) and no rain delays. 847934 It's common knowledge and has been explained before by the team itself. It's to try and beat the rain and avoid delays and rainouts...bar none.No other explanation . The rain in S.Florida usually comes later in the afternoon. That is the reason also for why the start time was moved up from 4pm this season.
19. I'd be disgusted that someone didn't know who Chicken Little was, if I was surprised at all. 847542 Disgusted? I heard of the children's character but I had forgotten the premise. There were a hundred children's story's that I liked much more than that one. Like Humpty Dumpty! :notworthy Little Jack Horner! :notworthy The Flintstones..ok, not the same thing..I know But I know all the PINK FLOYD ones! BTW, If THE WHO were allowed to perform the four songs as originally planned (scrapped down to two because Live8 was running an hour behind)...they would of blown PF's reunion with David,Roger,Rick, and Nick out of the Park! PF won by default though. They had the world at hello! After all, it was the biggest band reunion ever. That's unless Moon and Entwistle pop up out of the grave after destroying a Hotel in Hell, hahahahahahaha! :lol All joking aside, Floyd were absolutely stunning!!!!! They better tour!! I doubt it, but one can dream!! 847563 I'm not going to get into this on the Marlin board, but Pink Floyd and The Who play different types of music. I love The Who and their performance was really good, but Pink Floyd was on another cloud with how they played. Everyone was on cue, and most importantly of course, everyone was alive. Plus, it doesn't get any better than Comfortably Numb. They won't tour anytime soon, but I'm praying. 847921 Exactly, they are both set up high on separate pedestals! I saw THE WHO from the front row or 2nd and 3d rows in 30 shows between 2000-2002 and the one off shows in 2004.Dating back to 1982, seen them 38 times total.I drove across the U.S. seeing the last 30. I saw PF in 1987 and 1994 ...but would dream of seeing a Waters-Gilmour PF!!!!!! Sorry Moderator for the Off topic posting. PF ruled Live8!!!

21. I agree 100% with what Le Batard had to say. We need more power its alright not to get any Homeruns from Castillo and Pierre but not getting them from Loduca, Gonzalez, and Lowell is killing us. Encarnacion is playing over his head as well. 847773 I started a post about our power outage 3 days ago.Said the same thing that Dan did when I compared us to the power outage that was similar to the Mets of the early 80's (80-82 years).I agree 100% with his comments. The three players you mention here cubangm are hurting us badly.Gonzo is way off his last year's pace.LoDuca has hit as many as 25 in a season,so he's way off that mark or his overall average.Lowell, well we know too well about Mike's problems. We're missing a good 20 homers at the least, which would put us at a 162-170 pace instead of the woeful mark we are at now. Earl Weaver once stated this:"the 3 run homer is the best play in baseball". Didn't FSN post a stat that 11 of Miggy's 17 hrs are solo homers this season?! On a positive note, Mike,Paul, and Gonzo can and will turn it on soon! :thumbup NO MORE NEGATIVITY!
22. I post the same stuff LeBatard just wrote. Why post this article? Shouldn't his thoughts be banned from this site? JUST KIDDING :bolt: A powerful explanation for Marlins' struggles By DAN LE BATARD Baseball, the game of mathematicians and poets and a philosopher named Yogi, is our most numerical game, and therefore the one most analyzed by thinkers. It is chess with sweat, umpires, ejections -- and the occasional irrational outburst against a television cameraman. Football appeals to something more savage within us, the violence bringing out our bloodthirst in ways a boxscore can't, and all those collisions trigger something in fans closer to the heart than the brain. In this philosophical climate, the inconsistent Florida Marlins become an inexplicable little riddle instead of an OK baseball team, all the more inexplicable with Dontrelle Willis' loss to a ravaged Chicago Cubs team Friday, and we try to solve this puzzle with our on-base percentages and averages with runners in scoring position and, of course, by firing the manager. But this isn't terribly complicated. The Marlins are good, but not better, because they don't hit the ball over the fence enough. That's it. They don't score enough runs the easiest and quickest way. Never mind Jack McKeon's mystifying and questionable strategies. Never mind Mike Lowell's anorexic batting average. Never mind Josh Beckett's blisters and the trade swirls around A.J. Burnett and the expensive floundering of Al Leiter. Florida simply has not been powerful enough to muscle its way to the top of the standings. First in National League batting average? That's nice. Third in National League ERA? That's nice, too. And those two things have certainly worked together to keep the Marlins relevant in a season that could have already been drowned. But 44-40 Florida hasn't been better because it hits fewer home runs than any team in the National League but one. And it won't win anything this season, not even a wild card, if it doesn't start trotting around the bases instead of straining around them. The Marlins offense has spent half this baseball season, for lack of a better term, looking constipated. Here's the ugly math: Lowell and Alex Gonzalez have four homers each. Paul Lo Duca has two, as do jitterbugs Luis Castillo and Juan Pierre. And no pitcher has homered. So from six of the nine starting spots in the lineup -- two-thirds, in other words -- Florida has a total of 14 homers. And that's why Florida entered Friday 11th in the NL in runs scored despite that league-leading batting average and Carlos Delgado's typical excellence, Miguel Cabrera's prodigy play and Juan Encarnacion playing over his head. NEWS NOT ALL BAD That's the bad news. The good news is that, without a trade or tinkering, career norms suggest all those players except Pierre and Castillo can and should improve their power numbers. It has taken six spots in Florida's order to hit as many homers combined as Felipe Lopez. Or Jason Lane. Or Jorge Cantu. And that, it goes without saying, is terrible. But maybe Lowell's angry outburst at a reporter before Friday's loss wasn't. Florida needs the real Lowell, the three-time All-Star, if it is going to accomplish anything. And Lowell, who cares deeply, knows he has been killing his team. It is crippling knowledge to take into the batter's box with you, where you can squeeze the bat to sawdust with all your want and you have to swing relaxed even when you are the very opposite. So Lowell, as classy and professional as anyone to ever put on a Florida uniform, uncharacteristically blew up about something written about him Friday. And then he went out and hit just his second home run in the past three months. Your friend, The Media, always there to help when we can. WEATHER SYMBOLIC Still, Florida lost because Willis was pounded like he never has been -- and by a Cubs lineup without the league's best hitter (injured Derrek Lee) and with Michael Barrett batting cleanup, no less. Tropical-storm winds battered the players and the poor grounds crew, scattering trash all across the field in a game attended, not surprisingly, by more Cubs fans than Marlins fans. The lights in the stadium even flickered on and off at one point. Symbolic, really, for a team that has had trouble all season with its power supply. http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/news/...ts/12092119.htm 847761
23. (first of all I would like to say that I am drunk and I am sorry for the rant) They just lost 8 in a row and we almost came back on this one. The rain stopped our momentum. They are just jealous and envious. Len Kasper is making more money as a Cub broacaster but I think he does miss being with the FISH. He didn't have half the pressure in South Florida. I can't imagine how much hate mail he must get every day. Chicago is a sorry town with a sorry national league team. We are a winning team and have a great beginner tradition. Yeah we had some bad years (98, 99) but what other team with a 11 year history has TWO World Series Title? Look at the Rockies, they were founded the same year we were. They barely have a winning season. In either case it REALLY cheered me up to see 14 thousand young kids at a Marlins game yesterday. If you are a little older as I am you know South Florida was mainly a Braves town before the Marlins were founded. I was a huge Braves fan and still think that game 7 of the 1991 World Series was the best game ever pitched by both teams. But now I hate the Braves and love the Marlins. Those kids are going to make GREAT fans. I might be dreaming but I see a day in the future where every Marlins game is sold out (in a new stadium) and people are crazy about us. I love this team and I believe that other teams, specially the Cubs who haven't won anything in how many years, are just jealous. Their whole organizations doesn't like us. We have Andre Dawson in our front office and he is one of the best players the Cubs have ever had. He was like a franchise player for them for 6 seasons. Chicago was proud of him yet he works for us. My point is don't get caught up in anything these losers talk about because in the end we have something they don't. A WORLD SERIES TITLE (2 of them actually) plus who did we knock off the playoffs in 2003? Yeah, ok. 847601 Nice rant. Could you please pass whatever it is your drinking. :drunks 847624 As a guy going on 8 years of sobriety, I couldn't of said it better straight! :notworthy You can see the envy on the faces of the Cubs fans every time you see them in our stadium.
24. I'd be disgusted that someone didn't know who Chicken Little was, if I was surprised at all. 847542 Disgusted? 25. This team are sellers IMO. :lol Wow. Do we have to win every damn game? 846787 The thing that mashes my brain in is this. When have the Marlins won the first game of a series last? Anyone, anyone? It seems when we have some strange weather, instead of taking advantage of being the home team in times of dreary duress, we seem to cower down like little girls. Happens all the time. Dontrelle? If he were as a dominating pitcher as he appeared to be, he wouldn't ever have a game like he had tonight. Did Bob Gibson have a game like this in his ultimate season? Did Sandy Koufax? Nah, only Marlins pitchers do these smoking mirror tricks on their fans. Tired of Josh and his blisters and mysterious back twists. They should wear effing dresses on the field.I mean that.Time to BUTCH up and show some heart, man. 846827 No good pitcher has ever had a bad game? Every pitcher gets hit sometimes. That's what happens. Baseball is a game of long run statistics, you can't get an accurate picture from one datum. In most instances Dontrelle has been awesome. Also, the pitchers you mentioned played in the second deadball era, when every advantage was given to the pitcher. In our era, every advantage is given to the hitter. Plus, Bob Gibson had a 1.08 ERA. Is that what you are expecting from Dontrelle? If so, maybe you should reallign your expectations. Your posts are so overboard man. When we win this team is World Series bound, when we lose the team should be in a trash heap. On a somewhat related note, has anybody ever thought of giving awards to different members at the end of the season? If we were to do that, you would definitely get the Chicken Little Award. 847317 What does that mean FlummoxedLummoxmestomachoxachesox? 847496 If you're asking about the Chicken Little Award...It's from a children's story. One day Chicken Little was minding her business and suddenly something fell from above and hit her on the head (I think it was an acorn from a tree, but I can't remember). Anyhow, she thought that the sky was falling and part of it had hit her on the head. So she went around to all her fellow animals, exclaiming that the sky was falling. Eventually she convinced all of her friends that this was so and that they had to warn the king. They finally meet up with a Fox, tell him the story, and he says that he knows the way to the king, so they should follow him. Chicken Little and Co. follow the fox, and never make it to the King because he presumably eats them. The point of the story is that Chicken Little overreacts, becomes hysterical, and therefore trusts someone she shouldn't (the Fox). Where your award comes in is that you probably overreact more than anybody on the site. The Marlins lose a game, and suddenly the sky is falling. Hence, the Chicken Little Award. (the part with the fox isn't relevant to the title) If you're asking about my screen name....Flummoxed means confused, while a Lummox is a clumsy idiot. So my screen name means "confused idiot" 847537 Thanks for explaining.I knew who Chicken Little was but I had forgotten alot of the premise to this little ditty of a children's story. Thanks for the reminder and the refresher course! So,I win the award then, huh? I just checked all my posts I have made in the last few days and I don't see how I am much different than alot of the fans on here. I have only really even started only a few topics recently and these were just speculative things. Now come on, if we were playing up to our capabilities you wouldn't see a few negative posts. But if you've not been frustrated lately then I commend you folks!! I see tons of topics starting with - Trade ENC Burnett is not a winner Lowell this, Lowell that Marlins should sell etc. I am no different.I just love this team so much and I felt everything that Beinfest did to UPGRADE this team is going to the wayside. Maybe I go to too many games? Maybe I need to go and do some more constructive things with my life than to go to EVERY game.
