Don't fear the rain, don't fear the wind.

This evening's game will go on and the Chicago fans have no problem with the weather. They had a really strong showing yesterday and they were loud and obnoxious.

We need to bring the home field advantage tonight.

Gear up and show up. We need to start winning series.

Amen. Sounded and looked like a orange and teal version of Wrigley field last night, withour the ivy of course :p

I'll be there tomorrow

Can't get seats for tonight

The reason the Cubs fans go rain or shine is because the've already bought and paid for their tickets and have no interest in trading them for a future Marlins game (a team they don't support) or losing their money all together.

It has nothing to do with them being more diehard fans or in any way better fans, they're motivation is purely economic.

:panic

I want to go but I really dont want to sit in the rain/wind :( The radar doesnt look good at all

I dont have one... :lol The only problem is my dad said he doesnt want to sit in the rain the whole game.. I dont either so I have no idea what we are going to do :(

I'm going. My last game until the 26th. Hopefully there is a walkup line because I have like 4 or 5 extra seats.

If I lived in Florida, I'd be there. Personally, I think rain delays are a lot of fun if you are at the game. One of my best memories is when my Dad took my brothers and I to a Rangers vs White Sox game in Arlington and it POURED. We were trying to find a place to stay dry and there were people hiding everywhere. Many people ended up leaving and the game was eventually played. It's just weird that out of the 100+ Ranger games I went to in my life, I remember that one second-best. It was fun. :)

We were going to go but we decided to exchange our tickets for another day. I hated doing that but we had to. I just got rid of this cold I had and I don't want to get sick again. We have a trip to Orlando next weekend and I don't want to be miserable. :confused

I wanna go but my girl's dragging me out instead. dang women!

Just want people to know that as much as negative as you people think I am,I've sat thru many many rainy games...been to over 90 in a season and a half and who knows how many since 1993. I just don't post my postive thoughts...only my negatives...so it seems as if I am always negative when I am not. I just have to learn to post postive thoughts to counterbalance the negatives.Did that make sense?

I love this team! :)

I think you feel the need to defend yourself more than I do. I am slowly learning to let people's negative remarks slide off my back (I don't get many). You should too. Try not to worry about what other people say about you or how true of a fan you are. In your heart, you know you love this team. Don't let it get to you when people say you are less of a fan than them. It is a childish mind game.

I think everyone on here gets attacked for having an opinion now and then. And I think most of us are guilty of having some negative attitudes during some down moments of the season. It happens. We are all human and we all have human emotions (At least I hope so).

I'm going tomorrow as well

Thanks for your words here. After tonight's loss,I want to go vent again :lol

But I have to realize that we have another game early tomorrow and to just relax and look foward to that one! We can only salvage the series but at least we can go into the break with a win...and build on that win! Let's Go Marlins!!! Oh,wait...Leiter's pitching? :mad

:whistle :whistle :whistle :whistle .....I'm trying :whistle :whistle

Anyway, thanks :lol

I am hoping the Cubs offense will be a bit worn out and Leiter will do okay. But it is hard to expect anything less than 4 runs in 5 innings from Leiter.

Go ahead and call me a jinx if he does just that tomorrow, but you know he does it every game anyway. :whistle

For the record: It didn't rain one drop.

*sigh*

Just got back. It was quite breezy the entire time, really playing games on the OFers. But the breeze was nice for those sitting in the stands and made for an enjoyable evening.

Really? It's been raining all evening here. Ah well...

It was really nice at the park...aside from the fact that we lost.

even waited by the buses afterwords.
