Location rumour - Liverpool (UK) and South Africa both named as being scouted by Bond producers...

 

 

The first credible location rumour for Bond 21 has come to light today.

 

A highly reliable tipster during "Bond 20" production (which would later be known as "Die Another Day") has mentioned on the AJB forums that Liverpool (UK) and South Africa are locations being scouted by the Bond 21 pre-production team.

 

Bond has not visited many recognisable UK locations outside of the London area in the series so far, perhaps because MI6 operations are ring-fenced to foreign activites. There are no immediately obvious reasons as to why this location is of interest to Bond producers.

 

"Diamonds Are Forever" is the only film so far to feature South Africa, in a brief sequence regarding diamond mining and smuggling at the start of the film.

It's a great series but unless they really step up the action sequences, they'll lose the newer audience. Look at XXX and The Matrix. Now-compare them to Die another Day. not even close.

Bond is still Bond. Don't fix it if it isn't broken, and sure isn't broken.

Die Another Day and GoldenEye were the best Bond movies since The Man With the Golden Gun and the other classics. DAD was ONLY the highest-grossing Bond movie ever.

XXX didn't do half as well as The Companies invested in it wanted.

 

Also early reports coming out of hollywood are saying it would bomb as action sequels have yet to spawn high numbers this year e.g. Charlie's Angels 2 and Terminator 3.

 

Both those films bombed and most expect XXX would follow.

 

The Matrix is going to go to three and that's it.

 

Revolution has the most retarded release date every in October. It does not build anticipation and will do lower buisness than Reloaded.

DAD may have been the "highest-grossing Bond movie ever" but in no way can it be compared to GoldenEye.

yenta, Bond doesn't need CGI, 360 Matrix Effects, or bad acting (Vin Diesel). One of the things I hate about DAD is all the "Mission Impossible 2/John Woo type Action Sequences" which Lee Tamahori (Director of DAD) didn't need to use. Bond is old school and should stay like that.

 

Plus, somebody please tell the producer that Madonna's acting skills stink!

Agreed. It was painful to watch. I'm sorry to disappoint the producers, but it's hard for me to believe that the government would recruit criminals as secret agents. In addition, xXx's director has decided not to do the sequel.

 

Oh, and one other thing:

 

THE VILLAINS IN XXX WERE THE WORST EVER!!!!!!!

I still think that I rank the top 5 Bond movies as follows:

 

1: GoldenEye

2: Goldfinger

3: Die Another Day

4: The Man with the Golden Gun

5: Moonraker

 

I liked the North Korean plot of Die Another Day, I thought that the timing was good.
