Why not Hollywood ?

Featured Replies

I wonder if the area near the Hollywood hard rock has been discussed as a place for the Marlins stadium ?

The Indians have the money to help, and would do it to attract even more people to the Casino. Imagine the flood of people who would go play some poker, or go to a bar in the hard rock before / after a game, it would be like a damn monopoly for them.

The land is available in the area, it is centrally located with easy exits off of 95 and the turnpike. Why not ?

I don't think its a very good idea. I mean i'm not like a moralist or anything but do you really want to go to the game and have your kids subjected to a casino. I don't know... Casino's can be not-so-good places. Even though the casino you speak of us is actually quite nice, but I don't think it promotes the family gathering feeling that the marlins want.

Besides... we don't want another Pete Rose scandal...

Broward isn't paying for a new park.

Miami-Dade and Miami aren't gonna give Broward County money.
