  1. Chill guys, we haven't gotten Pujols yet Indeed. It's amazing the conversation has switched to Pujols so quickly... it's like we just signed Reyes and everyone is going "Yup. Moving On!" It's just an incredible change of pace for the fanbase. It's like the attitude of everyone has changed. It certainly is a fantastic thing.
  2. Honestly I don't care anymore about the money or the offers, or whatever. Just sign everyone. This sh!t is exciting! Awesome! Mark Buehrle next. Get er done!
  3. I'll be there Val! Seeya Monday!
  4. There is no way that is going to happen. I can't wait for Stanton either, but he was in regular Class A last year and is in Advanced Class A this year... and the minor league season just started. Is there a chance we'll get a peak at him when the roster expands at the end of the season? Maybe. But I think that that (and I think that is even unlikely) would be the extent of Stanton's time with Marlins this season. He needs to at least see some AA pitching... so hopefully they'll promote him to AA soon. Give Maybin a chance... he'll come around eventually.
  5. Can anyone remember anyone else having such a high frequency of hits being for HRs in a single month? I'm convinced he's near record breaking territory, though I have no way to be sure. It appears the Miami Herald answered my question in today's sports section. According to the post... "Just how hot is Ross? Heading into Friday, eight of his past nine hits were home runs. According to Elias Sports Bureau, the only players in the past 10 years with a streak of that kind have been Manny Ramirez, Darryl Strawberry, Gary Sheffield, Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa, Barry Bonds and Adam Dunn." Now, as Cody has just homered again, better make it nine out of his past ten hits were home runs.
  6. .167 AVG? ?????
  7. Mike Lowell... for the hidden ball tricks alone. :shifty
  8. Has anyone else noticed Ross' ridiculous numbers for this month? From May 1 - 28 (Bottom of the 6th Inning) Cody in 44 AB's has 12 Hits and of those 9 have been Home Runs. Can anyone remember anyone else having such a high frequency of hits being for HRs in a single month? I'm convinced he's near record breaking territory, though I have no way to be sure. Cody is also among the HR leaders for May despite having HALF of the ABs as anyone else and he had 0 HRs in April. April Home Run Leaders Dan Uggla 12 HR 85 AB Adam Dunn 10 HR 71 AB Adrian Gonzalez 10 HR 103 AB Ryan Braun 10 HR 104 AB Cody Ross 9HR 44 AB I wonder what the record is for HRs as a percentage for total hits in a month. Cody's at a .750 clip. If anyone knows... post it!
  9. He'll always be my other Mr. Marlin Love him to death! Great Job Mike, you deserved it!
  10. Give Julio a break... even Todd Jones blew his first save for us... and he saved what? 40? Give him a chance the Marlins are good at picking out bargain closers. So stop whining and wait!
  11. Heck if we could get those games on the air that would be fantastic... but some of the local sports bars up here do get Fox Sports net. I know Smokey Bones does... and there a BBQ place.
  12. Thanks for the videos! I teared up watching them!
  13. I was watching it on gamecast and then on ESPN when it was on... I locked my door, turned off all the lights and hugged my pillow... nothing bad ever happens when you hug a pillow... so I knew we were good to go!
  14. 2nd place here we come!
