It is "lido key" i didn't like it,there was something called the red tide, and there were alot of dead fishes on the shore and some water snake's therefore i stayed in the pool and didn't get in the beach only once did i get in the beach,so if anyone is planning on going there don't waste your time because the beach is messed up and the weather is bad lots of rain but i had fun still.

"Red Tide" is when there is bacteria (or something along those lines) that kills off fish at an alarming rate, causing them to die and bring blood and carcasses to the shore. Hence, Red Tide.

Close Juanky, but no.

Red Tide is caused by dinoflagellates, which are not bacteria. The dinoflagellates themselves are of a reddish color, and so are the toxins they release. Fish intake the toxins and that's what causes them to die. But the "red" in red tide is not caused by blood. The dinoflagellates themselves and the toxins they release produce the red in the water.

The reason for such a bloom by the dinoflagellates, especially in the Gulf of Mexico, seems to be an increase in phosphates in the water from agricultural runoff carried into the ocean by the Mississippi River.
