Well, we all know Luis Castillo has a sexy lock on defense at second barring Alfonso Soriano wearing a 3 foot glove to go play out there since he has the name. Alex Gonzalez should get some rep, but there's a deep class of defensive SS in the NL. Mike Lowell could get a nod thanks to Rolen being down a significant amount of time this year.

Should he? Yes. Does he? No.

The problem isn't location, it's name value. Let's face it, the casual fan by now knows who Dontrelle Willis is. If it's between him and Mike Hampton, I'd have to think Trelle would get the nod.

They'll probably give it go Greg Maddux again or some bogus ish.

If it isn't Maddux, it'll be some lame ass stuff like Peavey or Carpenter.

 

However, Dontrelle should win the GG, if for no other reason than he's the only pitcher who dives head first for weak pop-ups.

Luis Castillo is nearly a lock. Not many 2B are in his league defensively. Mike Lowell has a shot, but his offensive production might take him out of consideration. Alex Gonzalez is special and should have a gold glove or 2 already, but Izturis is probably going to recieve it again. My guess is:

C-Matheney or Schneider

2B-Castillo

3B-Mikey(hopefully)

SS-Izturis(with Gonzo as an outside shot)

OF-Edmonds, Jones, and???
